Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your BMW 740iL is as easy as 1,2,3.
Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. This powerful mill looks like they just installed it. It is mint. As in showroom. The Vortex Valve™is installed inside the air intake duct where it meets the engine. Step-1. Is a close up of the front of the engine. Look how clean everything is.
Step 1
Using a flathead screwdriver Larry loosened the clamp where it holds the air intake duct to the throttle body. He also loosened the smaller clamp directly above it. It's on the smaller tube above.
Step 2
He pulled back the air intake duct and inserted the Vortex Valve™in the duct with the flat side facing the engine like the picture at the left.
Step 3
Slide the air intake duct back over the throttle body and the smaller hose over its connection and tighten both clamps You are ready for the open road or wall-to-wall traffic with plenty of power and response and great mileage too.
