Installing Vortex Valves™ on your BMW M5 Takes Skill And Patience.

Step 1

Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running.

You can do this install with the tool kit that comes with the car.

First we have to remove the air box. But, before we can do that, we have to loosen the serge tank. Take out the bolt in the front and loosen the back so it will move out of the way of the air box assembly. Then we can remove the air box.

When you remove the air box the car looks like this.	And the air box assembly looks like this.

Step 2

Now we remove the air intake manifold. It's pictured at the top in the right hand photo. Now we can loosen the six velocity stacks.

There is linkage that needs to be loosened. Now we are ready to remove all six velocity stacks. When they are removed they look like the picture in step 3.

Step 3

There are 6 "O" rings that you should replace while you have the velocity stacks off. We got our set from a BMW dealer.

Now, install a Vortex Valve™ in each velocity stack. It looks like the picture at the left. The flat side faces the engine. Put it back together and get ready for the ride of you life. Brutal low-end power and amazing top end. This is definitely a thrill-seeker special.
