Step 1

BMW Z3 1999 install step 3 Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. Using a flathead screwdriver we loosened the clamp where it holds the air intake duct to the downstream side of the mass airflow sensor. It's right beside the driver's side shock tower.


Step 2

BMW Z3 1999 install step 3 Remove the duct from the downstream side of the mass airflow sensor and install a 4309-5C Vortex Valve™in the duct with the flat side facing the engine like the picture.


Step 3

BMW Z3 1999 install step 3 Reconnect the air intake and tighten the clamp. You are ready for wall-to-wall traffic or the highway with plenty of extra power and torque. Lower emissions too!
