Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your Fleetwood RV is as easy as 1,2,3.
Step 1
Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running.
First we had to remove the little two-drawer table so we could open the "Dog House." That's where the engine is. Remove the two drawers. When you look inside the cabinet you will see two wing nuts like the picture at the right. Remove them and slide the cabinet to the front and it will release.
Step 2
Now we can open the "Dog House." There is a clamp on both sides towards the back. Open the cover and there's the engine. Using a flathead screwdriver we loosened the clamp where it holds the air intake duct to the throttle body.
Step 3
Pull back the air intake duct and insert the Vortex Valve™in the duct with the flat side facing the engine like the picture at the left. Slide the air intake duct back over the throttle body and tighten the clamp. Close the cover and secure the clamps on both sides. Replace the cabinet, the wing nuts and the drawers. You are ready for the open road or wall-to-wall traffic with plenty of power and response and great mileage too.
