Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your Chevy Pickup 1953 is as easy as 1,2,3.
Step 1
Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. 
No tools needed for this install. Remove the wing nut on top of the air cleaner housing. This wing nut is about 6 inches long. It reaches down to the cross member on the one-barrel carb.
Step 2
We removed the air cleaner housing cover and the air filter element. The one- barrel was just rebuilt. We installed a special 7309-9C Vortex Valve™in the throat of the carb. This Vortex Valve™was modified to fit around the cross member you see in the photo at the right.
Step 3
Next we replaced the air filter element and the air cleaner housing cover and the wing nut and tightened it. You are ready for the open road or wall-to-wall traffic with plenty of extra power and response and great mileage too.
