Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your Chevy 8100 2001 is as easy as 1,2,3.

Step 1

Chevy 8100 2001 install step 3 Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. Using a flathead screwdriver we loosened the clamp where it holds the air intake duct to the throttle body. It's right in the front of the engine.


Step 2

Chevy 8100 2001 install step 3 We pulled back the air intake duct like the picture at the left. The newer GM air intake ducts are made of plastic. At the end of the duct where it meets the manifold there is a rubber gasket that covers both sides of the plastic air intake duct. The purpose of the rubber gasket is to protect the plastic from the metal throat of the throttle body on the inside and the metal clamp on the outside. Remove the gasket and the clamp from the air intake duct like the picture at the right.


Step 3

Chevy 8100 2001 install step 3 Insert the Vortex Valve™in the rubber gasket, flat side facing the gasket like the picture at the left. Replace the gasket with the Vortex Valve™in it, on the end of the air intake duct with the flat side facing the engine. Slide the air intake duct back over the throttle body and tighten the clamp. You are ready for the open road or wall-to-wall traffic with plenty of extra power and response and great mileage too.
