Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your Chevy Silverado 2001 is as easy as 1,2,3.
Step 1
Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. Using a flathead screwdriver we loosened the clamps where they hold the air intake duct to the throttle body.
Step 2
We pulled back the air intake duct like the picture at the left. Then we removed the grommet from the throttle body, like the picture at the right, and installed the Vortex Valve™part no.4309-8C in the center of this U-Shaped grommet. Next we re-installed the grommet over the end of the air intake duct. The Vortex Valve™being between the inner wall of the air intake duct and the inner wall of the grommet.
Step 3
Slide the air intake duct back over the throttle body and tighten the clamp. You are ready for the open road or wall-to-wall traffic with plenty of extra power and response and great mileage too.
