Installing a Vortex Valve™ on any Class 8 is as easy as 1,2,3.
Step 1
Cat®
Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. Using a 7/16" end wrench (you can use a deep-well socket) we loosened the spring-clamp where it holds the air intake duct to the manifold.
Step 2
Cummins®
We pulled back the air intake duct like the picture at the left.
Step 3
Detroit Diesel®
Install the Vortex Valve™ in the air intake duct with the flat side facing the engine like the picture at the left. Slide the air intake duct back over the manifold and tighten the clamp. You are ready for the road with more power and torque and lower emissions.
