Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your Chevy El Camino 1969 is as easy as 1,2,3.
Step 1
Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. No tools needed for this installation. We removed the wing nut on the top of the air cleaner housing.
Step 2
We removed the top. This is what the Rochester 4-barrel looks like. Then we installed a 4309-10.5C around the perimeter of the carburetor.
Step 3
Here's what it looks like when it's installed. We replaced the top of the air cleaner housing like the picture at the right, then replaced and tightened the wing nut. Done. You are ready for the open road or wall-to-wall traffic with plenty of power and response and great mileage too.
