Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your El Dorado 1977 is as easy as 1,2,3.
Step 1
Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. Undo the wingnut on top of the air cleaner housing like the picture at the left.
Step 2
Take off the top of the air cleaner housing and keep an eye on the wingnut. Install the amazing Vortex Valve™around the outside of the carburetor just like the picture at the left. Make sure the butterfly valve(s) and linkage are clear.
Step 3
Fit the top of the air cleaner housing back on. Replace and tighten the wingnut. You are ready for some great performance and savings. You will feel it right away.
These big V8s really respond to the Vortex Valve & #8482;. We have run the Vortex Valve™on 550 cid engines in the '72 and '73 El Dorado, 425s like this one and 454s and 350s too.
