Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your Ford Explorer is as easy as 1,2,3.
Step 1
Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. After removing the cowling, if you have to, there is one screw to loosen as in Fig. 1 A slot screwdriver will do the trick.
Step 2
Then pull the air duct back gently, but firmly, with a little side to side wiggle until it comes loose like in Fig. 2.
Step 3
Insert the Vortex Valve™ Fig. 3 into the air duct Fig. 4. Then put the duct with the Vortex Valve™ installed back on the throttle body and tighten the clamp. If you had to take off a cowling put it back and tighten the bolts.
