Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your Ford 6.0L Diesel 2003 is as easy as 1,2,3.
Step 1
Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. Using a flathead screwdriver we loosened the clamp where it holds the downstream end of the air intake duct's flexible section where it connects to the solid plastic section going into the turbo charger.
Step 2
We pulled back the flexible section of the air intake duct and installed the 4309-8C Vortex Valve™in the duct with the flat sides facing the turbo like the picture at the left.
Step 3
Slide the flexible section of the air intake duct back over the solid plastic end of the air intake duct and tighten the clamp. You are ready for the open road or wall-to-wall traffic with plenty of extra power and response and great mileage too.
