Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your Ford F150 1996 is as easy as 1,2,3.
You may need two Vortex Valves™ for this vehicle.
Step 1
Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. Using a flathead screwdriver we loosened the clamp where it holds the single air intake duct to the split where the two sides meet the dual throttle body. Then we loosened the clamps on both ducts where they meet the dual throttle body.
Step 2
We pulled back the air intake ducts like the picture at the far left. The next picture is the dual throttle body. Then we installed two 7309-8C Vortex Valves™in the ends facing the dual throttle body setup.
Step 3
Slide the air intake duct back over the dual throttle body and tighten the clamps. Then replace the single air intake duct at its juncture and tighten the clamp. You are ready for the open road or wall-to-wall traffic with plenty of power and response and great mileage too.
