Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your Cat® C12 is as easy as 1,2,3.

Step 1

Cat® C12 install step 4 Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. When you look at the engine you will see the air intake duct coming from the intercooler and ending up at the entry point of the manifold like the picture at the left. Using a 7/16" deep-well socket we loosened the clamp where it holds the air intake duct to the manifold like the picture at the right.


Step 2

Cat® C12 install step 4 We removed the duct and installed a 7309-8C Vortex Valve™in the coupler that joins the system, like the picture, with the flat side facing the engine


Step 3

Cat® C12 install step 4 Slide the air intake duct back over the manifold and tighten the clamp. You are ready to use less fuel to do the same things you do every day. Spend less on fuel and lower emissions. Save some serious money and be environmentally responsible at the same time.
