Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your 3-Bolt Stage 1 Harley is as easy as 1,2,3.
Step 1
Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. 
Using a big Phillips screwdriver we loosened the chrome air filter cover and removed it and carefully set it down.
Step 2
We used a 5/32 STAR bit in our trick magnetic / multi-bit driver and carefully loosened the three screws on the reusable filter assembly and set them neatly, in a row, next to the large center screw from the chrome air cleaner cover.
Step 3
Install the 4309-10CHD Vortex Valve™inside the perimeter of the STAGE 1 Filter, like the picture at the left. The flat side always faces the engine. Place the Vortex Valve™so you can see all the holes and replace the STAGE 1 Filter and replace and tighten the three screws.
Then replace the chrome air filter cover and tighten the big Phillips screw...and wipe off the fingerprints. The result is amazing. If you have a STAGE 1 Filter system like the one pictured in this installation you for in for surprise.
