Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your Honda Odyssey 2004 is as easy as 1,2,3.
Step 1
Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. NOTE: This installation must be done when the engine is cold.
First thing in the morning is the perfect time for this installation. Using a 10mm nut driver we loosened the 4 bolts holding the large shroud covering the top of the engine. Leave the bolts in their respective indentations. Lift the shroud carefully, straight up and set it aside.
Step 2
Using a 10mm nut driver we loosened the clamp around the end of the air intake duct where it meets the throttle body like the picture at the left. Then, using a pair of needle nosed pliers we loosened the clamps on the two lines that plug into the side of the air intake duct like the picture at the right. Remove the lines from the air intake duct by pulling gently but firmly. Now we can remove the air intake duct from the throttle body.
Step 3
Install a 4309-5C Vortex Valve™in the air intake duct, like the picture at the left. Slide the air intake duct back over the throttle body and tighten the clamp. Replace the two small lines and make sure the clamps are returned to their original positions. Next, replace the shroud and tighten the 4 bolts. You are ready for the open road or wall-to-wall traffic with plenty of extra power and response and great mileage too.
