Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your Chevy Lumina 2001 is as easy as 1,2,3.

Step 1

Chevy Lumina 2001 install step 3 Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. Before we can do anything we have to disconnect a vacuum hose. Just unplug it like the picture at the left. It's right on top of the air intake duct about an inch and a half from the throttle body.


Step 2

Chevy Lumina 2001 install step 3 Using a flathead screwdriver we loosened the clamp where it holds the air intake duct to the throttle body, just like the photo at the left. We pulled back the air intake duct and inserted the Vortex Valve™in the duct with the flat side facing the engine.

Step 3

Chevy Lumina 2001 install step 3 Slide the air intake duct back over the throttle body and tighten the clamp. Plug the vacuum hose back in the top of the air intake duct -- push down gently and wiggle it from side to side until it is seated flush with the air intake duct. You are ready for any highway condition from the open road to wall-to-wall traffic with plenty of power and response and great mileage too.
