Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your Mini Cooper 2003 is as easy as 1,2,3.
Step 1
Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. We removed the special Clic hose clamp with our special Clic hose clamp pliers. If you don't want to spend the $60 for the pliers you can pry the clamp open with a flat head screw driver and close it with a regular pair of pliers.
Step 2
We installed a 7309-8C Vortex Valve™in the upstream end of the of the air intake duct where it meets the air cleaner box. We put it there because it was easy. For even better performance you could install the Vortex Valve™at the bottom of the air intake duct where it meets the manifold. For even better performance you could install one at each end. WOW!
Step 3
Reconnect the air intake duct and replace and close the clamp. Done. You got a bunch more horsepower and torque. Enjoy.
