Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your Ford Mustang 1966 is as easy as 1,2,3.

Step 1

Ford Mustang 1966 install step 2 Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. We removed the clamp holding the top of the V-shaped air cleaner housing to the base-plate.


Step 2

Ford Mustang 1966 install step 2 We removed the top and the shaped wire cage. Then, with a 7/16" end wrench we removed the brace that holds the base-plate to the carburetor. When everything is removed it looks like the picture at the left.


Step 3

Ford Mustang 1966 install step 2 We installed a 4309-10C Vortex Valve™around the perimeter of the Edelbrock & #8482;4-barrel. Then we replaced the base-plate bracket over the Vortex Valve™and tightened the 7/16" bolt. Finally we replaced the wire cage, like the picture at the right, and the top of the air cleaner housing and replaced the clamp. Done. You are ready for the open road or wall-to-wall traffic with plenty of power and response and great mileage too.
