Installing a Vortex Valve™ on your Oldsmobile Delta 88 is as easy as 1,2,3.
Step 1
Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. Undo the wing nut on top of the air cleaner housing like the picture at the left. Take off thetop of the air cleaner housing and keep an eye on the wing nut.
Step 2
Install the amazing Vortex Valve™ around the outside of the carburetor just like the picture at the left. Make sure the butterfly valve and linkage are clear.
Step 3
Fit the top of the air cleaner housing back on. Replace and tighten the wing nut. You are ready for some great performance and savings. You will feel it right away.
These big V8s really respond to the Vortex Valve™. We have run the Vortex Valve™ on 550 cid engines in the '72 and '73 El Dorado, 455s like this one and 454s too. All these big blocks responded with better performance and savings at the pump. If it has a carburetor it needs a Vortex Valve™.
